Christopher Lyman cash account book, 1832-1839.

A cash account book kept by Christopher C. Lyman of Hartford, Connecticut. Most of the items recorded are for ordinary household expenses, including providing his wife and children with cash. Some of the less common entries include Lyman noting the death of daughter Cecilia on August 1, 1832. The following pages includes charges for doctors visits, medicine, and eventually, burial expenses. Lyman also paid for a subscription to anti-masonic tracts. In April 1837 he sent silk worm eggs to Elijah Huntington.
